As a former professional Ballerina who was trained in Balanchine style ballet, I really appreciate the structure of the class. I love the traditional take on barre, and that class isn’t too complicated. I leave feeling stronger, refreshed, and have a clear mindset!
— Maggie- Former Professional Ballerina with Oklahoma City Ballet
Sublime instruction in a divine setting! Miss Stephanie’s adult ballet within the Rye Conservatory Chapel brings superlative lessons to the region.
— Grace
Welcomingly intermediate while being thoughtfully advanced, Stephanie Stradling’s adult ballet classes strike a balance between being constructively delightful and gently demanding. Both physically and mentally
— Sterling Hyltin Former Principal with The New York City Ballet
Adult ballet is a highlight of my week! Stephanie Stradling is such a great teacher. She gently guides us to improve our technique, along with creating fun and dance-y combinations across the floor. The positive vibe of the class is inclusive to all levels. Ladies, and the occasional gentleman all come to work hard and have fun!
— Former Professional Ballet and Contemporary Dancer
I recently returned to ballet after an almost 20 year hiatus, and immediately fell in love with adult ballet at RBC. Stephanie teaches a class that is both accessible to newer or returning dancers, while also making it fun and challenging for those with more experience. She has an incredible focus on technique, which she infuses throughout the class to the benefit of all dancers.

Adult Ballet at Rye Ballet Conservatory continues to be a fantastic class, regardless of experience and ability. The people who attend are very respectful of personal space and privacy, and the overall environment is very welcoming, free of intimidation and judgment. Stephanie Stradling is kind, funny, and immensely gifted with her ability to provide an excellent experience for the differentiated abilities commonly found in an adult ballet class. Whether you are a retired dancer, current professional, teacher, mom, or just a balletomane, this class proves to be a great experience for everyone. Stephanie provides a strengthening warm-up at the barre, followed by a fun, challenging center that can work for any level; she is extremely attentive and provides modifications as her watchful eyes see fit, which is an important difference between good and great instruction no matter the age or level.
